Source Verification & Decoding Protocols
Pocket watercolor sets sourced via global trade marketplaces frequently suffer from mistranslated product descriptions or conflicting measurement figures. Our publication handles manufacturer data through established verification procedures:
- Metric-First Dimension Standards
- All physical footprints are verified against metric millimeter measurements before calculating pouch clearances. Converted imperial measurements are secondary reference points.
- Cross-Language Material Audit
- Listing descriptions are cross-checked across English and French source entries (such as boîte aquarelle de poche against pocket watercolor tin) to detect material ambiguities between tinplate, extruded aluminum, and injection-molded polystyrene.
- Pan Format Classification
- Every kit is explicitly categorized as either accepting Standard Modular Half-Pans (approx. 19 × 16 × 10 mm) or utilizing Proprietary / Poured Fixed Wells that cannot be swapped.
Corrections Policy
Vendor specifications, pan capacities, and casing latch designs change without advance notice. When dimension errors, altered mold patterns, or updated pan specifications are identified:
- The article is updated promptly to reflect revised vendor schematics.
- A dated correction notice is placed directly on the article explaining the adjusted measurement or material specification.
- Previous conflicting measurements are noted to assist readers holding earlier inventory batches.
